ABOUT ME
“You and I we meet as strangers
Each carrying a mystery within us.
I cannot say who you are; I may never know completely,
But I trust that you are a person in your own right,
Possessed of a beauty and value that are the Earth’s richest treasures.
So I make this promise to you:
I will impose no identities upon you, but will invite you
To become yourself without shame or fear.
I will hold open a space for you in the World
And allow your right to fill it with an authentic Vocation and purpose.
For as long as your search takes, you have my loyalty.”
~ Theodore Roszak ~

Now, here's the "real" bio...
My name is Aleksandra Flis. Through my coaching programs, talks, small-group workshops, and research projects, I’m here to help you create a more fulfiling, productive, resilient life so you can positively impact your business, industry – and honestly – the world, without burning out!
A high performer myself, I know how it feels to willingly take the weight of the world on your shoulders. To yearn for fulfilment but have no guideposts in front of you. To be “successful” on the outside, yet feel exhausted on the inside.
Throughout my almost ten-year career in digital transformation, I was the classic A+ “good girl” who lived to exceed expectations. I chased one achievement after the other, only to feel empty right after.
On paper, I was living a great life. My resume was impressive. My apartment was lovely. My wardrobe was flawless. My life? Not so great.
I tried to push through it – I could push through anything! Until I hit a wall. I was physically tired. Emotionally exhausted. That forced me to step back and take a hard look at the thoughts and behaviours that brought me to that point.
You would think that years of consuming personal growth content would help me find the answer to “what’s next”. But I wasn’t getting any answers.
That was when I started working with a brilliant coach who changed my perspective and made me aware of blind spots. This is why I now approach my work as a craft and a calling. I study coaching, psychology, and neuroscience. I invest in research and learning from the best in the world.
Every year, I create a schedule for my professional development so that I can serve more powerfully. But most importantly, I practice being resilient and focused and assertive, and don’t let precious moments slip through my fingers anymore.
My path led me to build a global coaching practice, working with extraordinary people all around the world. I now enjoy my personal life that I used to try to squeeze into my two weeks of vacation time every year. It’s actually pretty great.
That’s my path. But yours doesn’t have to be the same. My work is to help you be the best version of yourself in the environment, job, or lifestyle of your choice.
In other news, I’m a Nordic noir lover, pilates fanatic and introverted extrovert. You will find me either sprinting through my to-do lists with my “no-BS” way of getting things done, or (if I am not travelling) saging my house and arranging furniture for good Feng Shui.
Love and courage,
Aleks
- I won the Hong Kong-Macao Sailing Regatta in 2016. It was my first – and last! – sailing race. Despite the fact that my team won, sailing is far from my favourite activity.
- Cooking is my means of expression. I see it as an art of creativity and experimentation. It’s all good until I have to clean my kitchen afterwards!
- The sheer fact that people cannot spell my name correctly is an enormous pet peeve of mine. It’s Aleksandra – Aleks, not Alexandra – Alex.
- I co-founded a wellness company which I failed miserably at. Poor communication skills, lack of knowledge, and inability to be assertive all contributed to my demise.
- I was born in post-communist Poland. It was my early upbringing that encouraged my intrinsic need to question everything. My rebellious spirit is something I am grateful for.
- I’ve lived and worked in London, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Warsaw and Malaga. I don’t connect to a single place or associate myself very much with a particular culture.
And here's the "Official" Bio...
Aleksandra Flis runs a boutique coaching consultancy for high performers who want to lead with impact and find fulfilment in the process.
As an executive coach and researcher, her big picture is to encourage individuals to step into their ‘Zone of Genius’, do what they’re best at, and make the highest contribution possible – all without compromising their wellbeing.
She coaches people who don’t need a coach. Her clients include serial entrepreneurs, VC partners, senior business leaders and PhD candidates. Through their work together, she’s helped them win their first CEO roles and launch wildly successful projects. But most importantly, she’s helped them find fulfilment and freedom.
She trained to coach at the ICF-Approved Empower World in Qatar and has business degrees from King’s College in London and the University of Hong Kong. She is currently en route to be Certified Ontological Coach (NCOC).
Skilled in expansion and growth, Aleks has a background in strategy and digital Transformation. It’s her diverse work experience – from MNCs to high-growth start-ups – that allows her to personally relate to the challenges modern leaders face.
She has lived and worked in six countries on two continents. Born in Poland, educated in the UK and shaped in Asia, she has an adorable accent that is just like her – bold and fearless.
Don’t just take it from me.
